SQM FILED ITS 2006 ANNUAL REPORT ON FORM 20-F WITH THE
U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION


Santiago, Chile, November 9, 2007.- Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) (NYSE: SQM, SQMA; Santiago Stock Exchange: SQM-B, SQM-A) announced today that it filed its 2006 Annual Report on Form 20-F with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 29, 2007. The Form 20-F is available on the Company’s Web site, at www.sqm.com.
