On May 16, 2006, Jack in the Box Inc. issued a press release furnished
as Exhibit 99.1, announcing the company's second-quarter results and
third-quarter guidance and updating its fiscal 2006 forecast.
Jack in the Box Inc. will conduct a conference call on May 16, 2006, at
