Form 12b-25 Notification of Late Filing

On April 30, 2012, FreeSeas Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release regarding the filing of a Notification of Late Filing on Form 12b-25 relating to the Company’s Annual Report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2011.
