GOL Receives FGV Business Excellence Award
São Paulo, August 15, 2006 - GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (NYSE: GOL and Bovespa: GOLL4), Brazils low-cost, low-fare airline received the 2006 FGV Business Excellence Award for outstanding performance in the Transportion Service category. The award is sponsored by the Brazilian Economic Institute (IBRE) of the Fundação Getulio Vargas Business Management School. Among the criteria evaluated are a companys profitability, liquidity, cash flow, market ranking, return to investors, and economic-financial performance over the past three years.
This award recognizes our efforts to popularize air travel in Brazil by offering low fares and high quality service while also maintaining a strong operational efficiency, says Constantino de Oliveira Junior, GOLs president and CEO. Conjuntura Econômica magazine, a publication of Fundação Getúlio Vargas, will feature all winners in its special The 500 Greatest S.A edition.
