Item 8.01.  Other Events

On Sunday, May 9, 2010, the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union on behalf of its Local 5114, ratified a six year collective bargaining agreement with Hecla Limited, our wholly owned subsidiary, with respect to the Lucky Friday mine operations.  All other terms and conditions are materially the same as the previous collective bargaining contract.
