Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Corning Natural Gas Corporation (the "Company") has received a letter of resignation from one of its directors, Stephen G. Rigo, effective October 7, 2010. Mr. Rigo had served as a director the Company since December 2006 and on the Audit and Compensation Committees of the Company. Mr. Rigo stated that his current full time employment no longer allows him to continue to serve as a member of the Corning Natural Gas Board of Directors. The board of directors intends to identify a replacement for Mr. Rigo on the board, as well as the committee positions, as soon as practicable.
