ITEM 8.01. Other Events

On June 16, 2005, Alaska Airlines, Inc. issued the attached release (exhibit 99.1) announcing a tentative agreement with the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association on a new four year contract for Alaska’s approximately 700 aircraft technicians. Terms of the agreement are not yet being disclosed pending a ratification by the union members.
