(d)   On July 10, 2008, the KB Home board of directors elected Mr. Robert L. Johnson as a director for a term ending on the date of the Company’s 2009 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. A decision regarding Mr. Johnson’s appointment to one or more board committees is expected to be made at the board’s next regularly scheduled meeting. Mr. Johnson will receive the same base compensation as the Company’s other independent directors. Mr. Johnson is the founder and chairman of The RLJ Companies.
 
    A press release announcing Mr. Johnson’s election to the board of directors is furnished with this report.
