     On December 4, 2006, Oriental Financial Group Inc. (the “Company”) announced the appointment of Julio R. Micheo, CPA, as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer of the Company. His appointment is effective as of December 1, 2006. Attached hereto is a copy of the Company’s press release.
