Smiths Detection Helps Secure Global Logistics Meet Time-Critical Shipment Deadlines

Smiths Detection today announces that SecureGlobal Logistics (SGL) purchased its X-ray inspection and explosives trace detection solutions to meet the upcoming Transportation Security Administration (TSA) air cargo screening mandate.

Qualified as a TSA Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF), SGL ships time-critical components for the oil and gas industry to hostile areas around the globe. The Houston-based company is already screening 100 percent of its urgent air freight though the TSA mandate requires only 50 percent to be currently screened. A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, SGL transported over one million pounds of airfreight in 2008.
