Smiths Detection Appoints Lance Roncalli VP of Sales for the Americas

Smiths Detection today announced the appointment of Lance Roncalli, an international sales, business development and operations expert, as Vice President of Sales, Americas. He will also take on the role of Managing Director for Smiths Detection Inc. the U.S. business subsidiary.

In his new role Mr. Roncalli will lead the sales drive of Smiths Detection’s broad portfolio of products and services to customers in the U.S., Latin America and Caribbean. “Smiths Detection is clearly the world leader in the threat detection field, providing the most comprehensive offering of products utilizing the broadest range of cutting edge technology. I am thrilled to be joining the company at such an exciting time in its history,” he said.

Lance Roncalli comes to Smiths Detection from the global company Safran-Morpho where he was Vice President, Global Business Development, following the acquisition of L-1 Identity Solutions. At L-1 Identity Solutions Mr. Roncalli served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. He also previously served in high-level executive positions at Fiberlink Communications and Information Handling Services, Inc.
