Report by Nature Conservancy, Ecolab urges greater protection for Mississippi River

Ecolab CEO Doug Baker said the big takeaway from the report is “the Mississippi is in not-terrible shape,” but there are signs of declining water quality in the headwaters area. It’s possible to intervene now and head off a potential multi-billion-dollar cleanup years down the road.
