ABT Capital is pleased to announce that Marcel Mares has joined ABT’s Board of Advisors. Marcel brings to ABT an extensive understanding and knowledge of the financial industry, with over 15 years of experience in lending, wealth, and asset management for both small private companies and large publicly traded institutions. He currently advises fintech startups in the private equity market on business strategy, product development and marketing.
Marcel is passionate about responsible investing and was a member of the Responsible Investment Association with an objective to promote Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) across Canada. Previously, he was responsible for oversight of $1 billion in AUM in SRI mutual funds. In his current role as a Portfolio Strategist, he’s a member of an Asset Allocation Committee and contributes to investment decisions related to asset allocation, sector exposures, and currency hedging.
