KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - August 29, 2026 - AMAP Platform, Alibaba's location-based services platform, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Malaysian geospatial technology company Tuxuri Sdn. Bhd. to develop spatial intelligence — location data and computing services that let vehicles, machines and software interpret physical space — for customers in Malaysia and the wider Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.

The agreement was signed at the Global Automotive & Technology Expo (GATE), which opened at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur on August 26 and runs through August 28. GATE brings together automotive and technology companies working on electric vehicles, autonomous driving, connected mobility and sustainable transportation. AMAP Platform also showcased its location and spatial intelligence products at the event.

Under the agreement, the two companies will combine AMAP Platform's standard Location Services — including global maps, navigation, geocoding and positioning — with Tuxuri's TuxGeo+ platform and its market knowledge in Malaysia. They will jointly develop spatial intelligence solutions for automotive, mobility, logistics and connected-vehicle use cases, the company said.

The partnership is intended to support AMAP Platform's international expansion and its effort to build a spatial intelligence services ecosystem with local partners, AMAP Platform said. The company said it will continue to work with partners in other markets.
