Hongkong, China - August 29, 2026 - On August 22, 2026, the China-Colombia High-Level Leaders Welcome Dinner was grandly held in Beijing. Leomars Liao, founder of ATOSHI, was invited to the event. He had face-to-face discussions with Andrés Pastrana Arango, former President of Colombia, to explore new opportunities for China-Colombia cooperation in economy, trade and culture.

As is known, the China-Colombia High-Level Leaders Welcome Dinner is a high-profile diplomatic and business event centered on China-Colombia bilateral ties. It focuses on economic-trade exchanges and cultural-people-to-people cooperation between the two countries. Frequently attended by the former President of Colombia, the event is committed to supporting Chinese-funded enterprises to expand into Latin America and building a direct dialogue bridge between Chinese companies and senior Latin American political and business circles. It promotes cultural and economic-trade connectivity and facilitates Chinese enterprises’ overseas expansion into Latin America.

Prior to the dinner, former Colombian President Andrés Pastrana Arango briefed attendees on Colombia’s national conditions and reviewed the long-standing profound friendship between Colombia and China. He warmly welcomed Chinese enterprises to bring high-quality Colombian products into the Chinese market, and encouraged them to proactively tap into the broad markets of Colombia and the whole of Latin America.

During the exchange session, Leomars Liao addressed the President and guests present in both Spanish and English. He shared his special bond with Hispanic culture, Colombia and Latin America, as well as the overall development status of ATOSHI. ATOSHI has accumulated more than 15 million users to date. Its Web3 short-video APP has been launched on Google Play. Users can earn ATOS for various activities including watching and uploading short videos, liking and commenting, online shopping, and booking flights and hotels. Boasting robust growth, ATOSHI has gained massive popularity among international users and aims to become the TikTok of Web3. Leomars Liao voiced his hope to introduce this short-video product to Colombia and scale it across Latin America, looking forward to His Excellency the President’s support.

During the dinner, Leomars Liao gave an on-site APP demonstration beside the President, inviting Andrés Pastrana Arango to experience its short-video playback, ATOSHI life and other functions.

While waiting for dessert, the two viewed a Colombian scarlet macaw together. Leomars Liao playfully asked: “Can this parrot talk?” The President replied: “Of course it can.” Leomars Liao followed up jokingly: “Does it speak Spanish or English?” The President responded humorously: “Chinese.” The witty exchange drew peals of laughter from the audience.

Towards the end of the dinner, the former Colombian President presented Leomars Liao with an autographed copy of En agosto nos vemos (We’ll See Each Other in August), the latest work by Gabriel García Márquez, the Colombian Nobel Prize in Literature laureate. The book’s title resonates fittingly with the August dinner, bringing the diplomatic gathering to a culturally-infused and memorable close.
