SkyePharma PLC ("the Company")
Notification of Major Interest in Shares
In accordance with the Companies Act 1985 (as amended) the Company was informed
on 23 October 2006 that Aviva plc and its subsidiaries ("Aviva") had acquired a
beneficial interest in 20,802,221 ordinary shares of 10p each in which it had
previously held a non-beneficial interest. Accordingly, Aviva now has a
beneficial interest in a total of 41,713,719 ordinary shares of 10p each,
representing 5.53% of the issued share capital of the Company.
