Item 8.01 Other Events.

Spectra Energy Partners announced previously that effective October 15, 2008, Fred J. Fowler was appointed to the Board as a new director. On October 29, the Board appointed Mr. Fowler to the position of Chairman of the Board of Spectra Energy Partners.
