MATERIAL FACT

Braskem S.A. (“Braskem” or “Company”), in compliance with CVM Instruction 358/02 and complementing the Notices to the Market dated April 3 and April 5, hereby announces to its shareholders and the market that it was informed, on the date hereof, that the Appellate Judge of the 3rd Civil Court of the City of Maceió, Alagoas, in connection with the appeal filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and by the Public Defender’s Office, both of the State of Alagoas, ordered the suspension of the consideration and vote by shareholders regarding the distribution of dividends to be made on April 16, 2019, in the Annual and Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting, in the approximate amount of R$2.7 billion, until the merits of the appeal have been examined.
