Paradise Turned into Dust by Leader of Down

The legendary rock music group LEADER OF DOWN dominates the charts with gratifying hooks and nerve-wracking distortions in the song ‘Paradise Turned into Dust’.

Christchurch, England May 17, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - The new hard-rock band LEADER OF DOWN has introduced itself to the world of music with a uniquely bright musical concept molded in rich, expensive sound design. The witty personality of the bandmates is explicitly recognized through the powerful notions they try to implement in the latest rock music release 'Paradise Turned into Dust'. It is the first track off the engrossing music album Cascade into Chaos. The album has 10 hard-hitting rock songs with new ideas that open a new dimension for more extensive experiments in the music industry. They resurrect the raw edge, passion, and influence of punk rock from the 90s with an album of originals that present their distinct sound and songwriting in a powerful way. The title track has reached the top of the music charts for its massive flow of high jinks that swirl smoothly into the destructive distortions of the electric guitar.

LEADER OF DOWN was formed with the cosmic connection. The pet project of Grammy-nominated longtime Motörhead guitarist Würzel and bassist Tim Atkinson, who formed the band and spent their time in a London rehearsal studio composing hundreds of songs in preparation for recording an album. They then brought in drummer Steve Clarke (ex-Fastway) to help them prepare for their debut album, "Cascade into Chaos." Würzel's guitar playing is enhanced by the teeth-rattling bass guitar and ear-splitting double bass drums. Würzel got the name of the band after misinterpreting the words to the Status Quo song "Down, Down." Würzel thought this was hilarious because he had been singing the wrong words to "Down Down, Leader of Down" for over 30 years.

The band began producing the first tracks for their debut album, which featured a reworking of Würzel's original release "People Think I'm Crazy" from the 1980s (B side of the song "Bess"). These early sessions also included a track that was always meant for Lemmy to sing on. This track finally became "Paradise Turned Into Dust," with Lemmy completing his work at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles shortly before his death. 'Paradise Turned into Dust' starts things off and blasts into space with urgency and depth, but at its heart, the track clearly celebrates the freedom and pleasure of the delirious rock chords. A few lyrics hint at self-discovery, but the rhythm, chord progression, and pure grit in the vocal lend the song a darker intellectual sound than it really communicates. Follow them on their website, Spotify, and Facebook for more new songs.
