SB Energy announces the on-time commercial operation of its 418MWp Juno Solar project in Borden County, Texas. It is now delivering power to the grid with long-term Power Purchase Agreements ("PPA") with Mitsui and Co. Energy Marketing and Services (USA), Inc. ("MEMS"; a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd.) and the Lower Colorado River Authority ("LCRA").

Abhijeet Sathe, co-CEO of SB Energy, said, "We are immensely proud of this milestone. Juno is one of our biggest projects in our portfolio and is deploying cutting-edge solar and AI/ML technologies at scale. This project represents just the beginning of our investment in accelerating the renewable energy future of the U.S. and beyond."

Amidst a global pandemic and challenging winter weather in Texas, the SB Energy team was able to deliver the project on time. Jeff Spinardi, Project Manager of SB Energy, said, "From revolutionary safety protocols to drone-based management to optimize construction and operations, SB Energy combined innovation and strong execution to deliver Juno successfully. We are thankful for our construction partner Signal Energy and the strong local support the project received."

Project construction was performed by Signal Energy, a leading U.S. solar EPC company. SB Energy, alongside SOLV, will provide ongoing operations and maintenance services and asset management for Juno. Juno is one of five projects SB Energy is building this year, with an additional 1.3 GWp scheduled to come online over the next seven months.

This project could not be completed without the great partnership of our key financing partners and our strategic equipment partners including First Solar, who supplied its advanced Series 6 modules, and Nextracker, who supplied its NX Horizon™ smart solar tracker. Borden County (Hon. Ross Sharp), Michael Coleman, Poka Lambro Telephone Co-op, Lyntegar Electric Co-op, and Wind Energy Transmission Texas ("WETT") were essential to the success of this project.

Juno supported over 1,000 jobs. This diverse team built a project that will electrify the equivalent of nearly 40,000 homes or power 125,000 electric cars.
