Brisbane, Queensland Nov 24, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - As staff return to offices across Australia, Smarter Water's CEO, Chris Mooney is alerting
business owners on the importance of ensuring staff stays hydrated.
Efficiency and productivity in the workplace are linked with hydration. For most businesses,
dehydration doesn't seem like a big issue, because it's only documented if it's so severe that
it necessitates medical attention. However, even the mildest dehydration causes a
considerable drop in productivity in the workplace.

Smarter Water's Chief Executive Officer, Chris Mooney, expressed that employees often
forget to stay hydrated at work and that they lack encouragement in the workplace to stay
hydrated throughout the day.

"Proper hydration helps boost metabolism and reduce daytime fatigue. Dehydration can
lead to headaches, decreased memory and can even reduce job productivity. By the time we
feel thirsty, it's already too late. A good rule of thumb is drinking half your body weight in
ounces of water every day," Mooney said.

From this, Smarter Water's mission is to not only provide their customers with the freshest
water solutions but educate them on the importance of hydration in the workplace. Smarter
Water is all about providing unlimited, pure filtered water at a low fixed cost while reducing
the need for plastic water bottles. They also encourage businesses to empower their staff to
stay hydrated during the day because it helps staff think, focus and concentrate better, all
while staying more alert.

Chris Mooney spent time researching how staying hydrated maintains peak levels of
productivity. In order to achieve this, the body needs to be fully hydrated. He expressed that
even just a 3-4% drop in hydration could lead to a 25% and 50% drop in productivity (Impax,
n.d).
"The statistics were astounding! Hydration in the workforce is paramount as we start
bringing staff back into the office. Limiting your staff's ability to access freshwater hinders
their opportunity to stay hydrated and perform at their best," Chris Mooney said.

A LACK OF HYDRATION WILL LIMIT YOUR TEAM'S ABILITY TO BE PRODUCTIVE
"We often find that customers come to us so they can find the solution of keeping their staff
hydrated in the office. They have found that when staff isn't staying hydrated, they notice a
dip in their performance," Chris Mooney said.
