NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dec. 6, 2021 - PRLog -- Nashville Artist Nurses Dying Mother While Recording New Album at the Public Library

Kentucky born, Lance Whalen moved to Nashville immediately after college to pursue music full time. After a decade in the Nashville trenches as a performing songwriter, Lance moved back to KY to take care of his terminally ill mother.

"After her diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer, she was never able to stand on her own again let alone walk" he says ".It was a 24/7 operation… feeding , changing diapers , dressing her and medication round the clock `"  '' and I was getting a divorce in my 'spare time'" he laughs.

Whalen tells us that on mondays while his sister would come down to take over for the day he would drive to the public library to record many of the tracks in a small one room  studio available to the public.

His mother passed away after a year and half grueling fight. "She asked me to sing her a song almost every night right up until the end." "of course I did and Ill always have that"

" When life has reduced you to nothing - your library has the way out"
