Accelerate Learning Inc. has appointed Michael Humphrey as its chief executive officer. Humphrey succeeds Philip Galati, who has served as the STEM education company’s president and CEO since 2021. Galati worked closely with the board of directors to select Accelerate Learning’s next leader and oversee the transition.

Humphrey brings extensive ed tech leadership experience to his role at Accelerate Learning, with a strong track record of driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Most recently, Humphrey served as executive vice president of business and government affairs at Imagine Learning (formerly Edgenuity). Under his leadership from 2009 to 2024, the online curriculum company experienced significant revenue growth and established key processes to support its rapid expansion. Previously, Humphrey held positions at Compass Learning, Yahoo!, and Simon and Schuster.
