The intelligent sponge’s rebound speed can be adjusted to more than five seconds, three times longer than ordinary products; monthly orders for compressed sofas have exceeded 400 sets… In the Smart Home Key Industrial Park in Linshu County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, a group of home furnishing enterprises driven by technological innovation are becoming the “main force” in breaking new ground in foreign trade.

This slow-rebound sponge “flagship product” comes from Linyi Xingnuo Smart Home Co., Ltd., a newly established enterprise in the industrial park. As a leading company in the local slow-rebound sponge sector, the company’s compressed sofas have gained wide market recognition. “Twenty percent of our products are exported directly, while 80% are supplied to downstream enterprises, of which 60% to 70% are indirectly exported. We expect annual sales revenue to reach RMB 20 million by the end of this year,” said Huang Jinhai, Sales Manager.

To further optimize its export structure and expand diversified channels, the company has adopted a “dual-track” strategy. On one hand, it is actively exploring emerging markets such as Australia and South America, which now account for 80% to 90% of its export share. On the other hand, it continues to improve the quality and production capacity of its compressed sofas, strengthening its market foundation through product competitiveness.

Unlike Xingnuo’s focus on upholstered home furnishings, Meibang Furniture Co., Ltd. in Linshu County, one of the “veteran” enterprises in the industrial park, specializes in hard home furnishings. On its automated panel furniture production line, a batch of orders for export to the United States is being produced at full speed. “Currently, around 20 orders, involving more than 20,000 sets of products, are under production,” said Xue Hu, Production Manager.

Facing the complex foreign trade environment, Meibang Furniture has adopted a more forward-looking approach. As early as one year ago, the company invested more than RMB 20 million to establish a production base in Vietnam. Its overseas sales revenue has now exceeded RMB 5 million. “While maintaining our U.S. market, we are actively expanding into Southeast Asia. Local customers have shown strong recognition of our products, and we expect production capacity to double next year,” said Chi Xiaoli, Deputy General Manager.

Behind the proactive market expansion of these enterprises is the strong support of industrial park policies. Leveraging Linyi’s traditional advantages in the panel manufacturing industry, Linshu County has implemented the “Work Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Renewal and Consumer Goods Trade-In Programs.” Through supporting tax incentives and financial assistance, a home furnishing industry cluster featuring willow weaving, wood products, and fabric crafts is rapidly taking shape, becoming an important platform for companies seeking new breakthroughs in foreign trade.

Wu Guangdong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Qingyun Town, Linshu County, said that the industrial park is focusing on developing a smart home industrial park led by major enterprises such as Meibang Furniture. Initial results have already emerged, with the park achieving an output value of RMB 1 billion last year and foreign trade sales exceeding RMB 500 million. “In the next step, we will accurately strengthen the industrial chain and strive to build the park into a core export hub for the home furnishing industry in Linyi City,” Wu said.
