This week, Illumina earned the highest recognition of a Platinum Tier iCommute Diamond Award for Excellence in Commute Programs from the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG). SANDAG’S annual iCommute Diamond Awards recognizes San Diego-area employers who have made strides to promote alternative commute choices in the workplace.  

Illumina provides employees in San Diego with on-site bike lockers and showers, ride sharing vehicles, stipends for commuter programs, and free electric shuttles between public transportation hubs and work locations. Illumina also provides many employees with flexible and remote work opportunities. These programs support our environmental commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across our operations.
