BAY HARBOR, MI / ACCESS Newswire / July 28, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to honor Alexander Kippe for his distinguished contributions to fine art photography, photo editing, gallery curation, aluminum sublimation printing and visual storytelling. Mr. Kippe's recognition reflects a career defined by precision, creativity, technical curiosity and a deep commitment to transforming captured images into lasting works of art.

Mr. Kippe is the founder and sole artist of Alexander Kippe Fine Art Photography & Gallery in Bay Harbor, Michigan. Since establishing the gallery in 2023, he has used the space as his primary venue for displaying original work while also exhibiting pieces throughout Bay Harbor. His artistic practice encompasses photography, photo editing, multi-venue gallery display, telephoto photography, mission-driven image capture, custom commissions, and multimedia printing.
In an interview with Marquis Who's Who, he shared that a defining feature of his work is his hands-on control of the entire artistic process. From the moment Mr. Kippe identifies a subject to the final presentation of a finished piece, he personally manages the workflow. His production process includes strategic planning, spontaneous image capture, computer editing, color calibration, sublimation printing on paper, heat pressing images onto aluminum panels, and custom framing.
His Bay Harbor studio supports a fully color-managed workflow across multiple Mac and Windows workstations, calibrated displays and professional printing equipment. He works primarily with a Nikon Z9, supported by more than 10 lenses from Nikon, Sigma and Laowa.
He described his work as museum-grade aluminum sublimation art, with images fused into metal for vibrancy, durability and archival display. This process has become central to his artistic identity, allowing him to create pieces suited for both interior settings and more demanding environments such as waterfront spaces. He also builds custom frames for his work, further reinforcing his commitment to craftsmanship and presentation.
Mr. Kippe's passion for photography began long before he founded his gallery. As a high school senior, he photographed nearly every day for the yearbook, covering sports, events and everyday moments. That repetition trained his eye and helped him develop the instinct to recognize strong photographs quickly.
His earliest commercial portfolio includes a nighttime underwater scuba photograph taken in Florida in 2010, capturing a basket star feeding in the dark, an image that reflects his interest in rare and difficult-to-see moments. This enabled him to develop a niche and transformed his eventual business into what it is today. He later used different techniques to enhance digital photographs, saying, "Digital photographs are important, but production techniques teach new skills that can improve regular photos, making them more striking."
Over time, Mr. Kippe expanded his craft through both deliberate photographic missions and spontaneous exploration. He often uses long telephoto lenses to reveal perspectives that might otherwise go unnoticed. "You can almost always find a good photograph if you use the right techniques and tools available," he said. "You can usually find something interesting anywhere, whether it's a macro shot of the landscape or something you're looking for."
A major professional milestone came in 2023, when Mr. Kippe earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation from the Professional Photographers of America. The credential required extensive technical preparation, an eight-section examination and a practical assessment of lighting and exposure. Mr. Kippe considers this achievement a pinnacle moment because it validated not only his artistic ability but also his command of the science and discipline behind photography. He is also an active member of the Professional Photographers of Michigan.
His work has earned recognition in several publications, including multiple features in Golden Coast Connoisseur magazine. These included coverage of the MODA Miami exotic car show and his "Boyne Thunder" collection, which captured high-speed catamaran boats during an exclusive poker run. His artistry has also been featured in RESIDE Magazine and Great Lakes By Design, including a drone-aerial panoramic photograph of a local golf course.
Civic engagement is also part of Mr. Kippe's work. He became connected to the Bay Harbor arts community through volunteer photography for the Crooked Tree Arts Center's annual plein air painting competition. He continues to donate artwork to Dart for Art, the center's signature charity fundraiser, and partnered with NOMAD on a gallery-based charity event that raised $17,000.
Looking ahead, Mr. Kippe hopes to acquire a helicopter that would allow him to travel to remote areas across America and photograph landscapes and scenes that few people have ever seen. "The only way to get there is to either hike or take a helicopter," he said. "I want to travel America by helicopter and photograph places most people never see." His goals reflect the same sense of exploration that has shaped his work from the beginning.
"Alexander Kippe exemplifies the caliber of fine art photographer and creative professional Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "His work in photography, gallery leadership and aluminum sublimation art reflects a career defined by technical mastery, artistic curiosity and a desire to reveal beauty in unexpected places." Through its recognition of Mr. Kippe, Marquis Who's Who celebrates an artist whose vision continues to expand the boundaries of fine art photography.
