Federman & Sherwood investigates Kulicke and Soffa Industries (K&S) for data breach. On May 12, 2024, K&S was contacted by ransomware group “LockBit Black” informing K&S that they acquired and encrypted certain files from the K&S network. K&S immediately hired a third-party forensics team and began an investigation. While the investigation is still ongoing, on July 12, 2024, the forensic team verified that specific individuals’ personal data was taken from the K&S network and posted to the dark web. K&S filed notice of the incident with the California Attorney General on October 10, 2024.
