Jorginho and world No. 1 match-racing skipper Chris Poole adopt first-ever rights infrastructure for identity, likeness and performance data and unlock officially licensed digital twins and AI experiences

Callandor today announced an expanded slate for its cutting-edge AI Intellectual Property platform, signing elite athletes who are adopting its infrastructure not only to protect their digital identities, but to turn them into new commercial businesses.

Global football champion Jorginho and Chris Poole, the world’s No. 1-ranked match-racing skipper, are using Callandor to register and control their “Digital DNA” identity, likeness, voice, biometric and performance data, and AI-generated representations, and to license official, athlete-approved AI content to brands, platforms and fans worldwide.

Highlights:

  • Callandor’s AI Rights Registry establishes ownership, consent, licensing and authorized AI use as the legal foundation that makes commercialization possible.
  • Registered rights become revenue: official digital twins and athlete-approved AI campaigns video, voice and stills in any language delivered in days, with every use logged and compensated.
  • Digital twin and immersive AI experience programs with additional world-class football figures and a leading international retail and entertainment group will be announced in the coming months.

The current sports rights model is obsolete against generative AI. Contracts designed for broadcast fail in a world of deepfakes and unauthorized lookalikes, and an athlete’s “Digital DNA” is being exploited without consent. But protection is only half the story. The same registered, consented data powers a new commercial engine: one approved capture becomes official campaign content in every market, medium and language, no shoot day required, with consent enforced at the moment of creation.

“The future of sports is not only about performance, but how that excellence is owned, protected and monetized,” said Michael Fisk, CEO of Callandor. “Registration is the front door. Behind it is a new revenue engine: official digital twins, licensed campaigns and AI fan experiences that pay athletes every time their identity works. The need is urgent.”

With the EU AI Act and California’s AI Transparency Act mandating stricter oversight, verified, consent-backed rights are now a commercial prerequisite; brands and AI platforms increasingly require them before they spend. Callandor enables leagues, clubs and athletes to register performance data, define AI usage rights, generate approved content within those rights, and automate compensation.

“We are in a time of instant and lookalike data,” noted CTO An Vu. “Protecting the identities of players and franchises is foundational, but the breakthrough is what protection unlocks: digital twins that speak every fan’s language, and experiences generated inside the athlete’s own rules, with precision and trust.”
