Scott, a 16-year old inventor, is leading the effort to empower future STEM leaders

STEMulate, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of STEM leaders in underserved communities and third world countries, is proud to announce a new fundraising initiative in partnership with MojaTu Foundation. This collaboration aims to provide robotic kits to children in third world countries and socially disadvantaged communities, fostering opportunities for education and innovation in technology.

Nia Scott, 16-year old visionary and driving force behind STEMulate, is at the heart of this initiative. Her passion for STEM education and her commitment to making a difference are the cornerstone of STEMulate’s mission. Under her leadership, STEMulate has been instrumental in creating programs and resources that inspire young minds to explore science, tech, engineereing, and math.

In a significant milestone, Scott recently partnered with MojaTu for the successful launch of the STEMulate Robotics Competition on May 24, 2024. This event marked the beginning of a series of competitions designed to engage and inspire students in STEM fields. The competition was met with enthusiastic participation from students from various backgrounds who showcased their creativity and technical skills.

Building on this success, Scott and her family will be traveling to Kenya in July to host an in-person competition, which will offer a hands-on event that will bring together students from local communities and provide them with an invaluable opportunity to learn, compete, and collaborate in a supportive environment.

Scott’s journey with STEMulate began with a simple, profound goal: to bridge the gap in STEM education for underrepresented youth. "I believe that every child, regardless of their background, should have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed in STEM fields," said Scott. "By partnering with MojaTu, we are taking a significant step towards making this vision a reality."

The collaboration with MojaTu Foundation is set to expand STEMulate's reach even further. MojaTu, known for its commitment to empowering communities through education and technology, shares STEMulate's dedication to creating lasting change. Together, they are launching a fundraising campaign to secure robotic kits for schools and community centers in underserved regions.

These robotic kits are more than just educational tools; they are gateways to a world of possibilities. By engaging with robotics, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The hands-on experience with technology will not only enhance their understanding of STEM subjects but also ignite a passion for innovation and creativity.

"We are thrilled to partner with STEMulate and support Nia Scott's incredible vision," said Kathy Kempf  President and Founder at MojaTu Foundation. "This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to provide educational opportunities and resources to those who need them most. Together, we can empower the next generation of leaders and innovators."

The fundraising campaign invites individuals, organizations, and corporations to join hands in this noble cause. Contributions will directly fund the purchase and distribution of robotic kits, ensuring that children in third-world countries and disadvantaged communities have the tools they need to thrive in the 21st century.
