On January 30, the "China White · Dehua Porcelain" International Touring Exhibition opened at the Belgrade Cultural Center in Serbia. Co-organized by the Belgrade Chinese Cultural Center and the Belgrade Belt and Road Institute, under the guidance of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Serbia and the Ministry of Culture of Serbia, and co-hosted by the China International Cultural Center, the Dehua County People's Government and T.H.C. ART MUSEUM, the opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Marina Raguž, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia; Adriana Mršović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Serbia; Dragoljub Bajic, Director of the Belgrade National Theatre; Bojan Lalić, Director of the Belgrade Belt and Road Institute; Ambassador Li Ming of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia; Minister-Counselor Zhang Zhe of the Chinese Embassy; Yang Dong, President of the Serbian Chinese Enterprises Chamber; Jin Dongrong, President of the Serbian Chinese Business Association; and Lin Liangguo, Deputy County Magistrate of Dehua County. Over 100 cultural, artistic, and museum professionals from both countries gathered to witness this historic moment.

Taking the Maritime Silk Road as its cultural thread, the exhibition created a trans-temporal cultural resonance in Belgrade. In his speech, Deputy Magistrate Lin Liangguo stated that Serbia has been Dehua porcelain’s "bosom friend spanning a century." He highlighted that Dehua’s international touring exhibitions have been successfully held worldwide in recent years, and the county will continue to showcase the unique charm of its millennium-old ceramic craftsmanship globally.

The exhibition carefully selects 50 representative works of Dehua white porcelain, spanning both tradition and modernity. The exhibits include sculptures embodying millennium-old intangible cultural heritage techniques and innovative utensils integrating contemporary aesthetic designs, collectively demonstrating Dehua porcelain’s iconic characteristics: "as white as snow, as clear as a mirror, as thin as paper, and as resonant as a chime stone."

During the exhibition, a Dehua City Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference was also held, systematically introducing Dehua’s profound ceramic culture, its historical status as a UNESCO-listed Dehua Kiln site, and its rich eco-tourism resources. The combination of the exhibition and promotion conference promoted in-depth cooperation between China and Serbia in culture, tourism, and creative industries.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until March 1. The "China White · Dehua Porcelain" International Art Exhibition serves as a significant practice in deepening people-to-people exchanges between China and Serbia in the new era, injecting profound cultural connotations into the development of bilateral relations.
