Assessing an individual’s skills and abilities is at the forefront of employer hiring practises. Skills Council of Canada is making the process easier in partnership with eSkill Corporation.

Ottawa, Ontario Sep 12, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Skills Council of Canada is pleased to announce a partnership with eSkill Corporation, a talent assessment platform supplying the most comprehensive and customizable hiring assessment solutions on the market today. The collaboration will provide Skills Council of Canada's partners and job seekers with access to thousands of essential skills, soft skills, and hard skills assessments as well as cognitive aptitude activities, video interviewing, and personality assessments. The library of assessments, along with other services offered through the Skills Council of Canada's Collaborative Support Ecosystem is now available for free to all Ontario project participants thanks to the $3,824,399 in funding provided by the Ontario Government's Skills Development Fund.

With dozens of industries requiring thousands of skills to support millions of jobs, and with no centralized skills delivery organization, the skills industry continues to be fragmented. The unfortunate reality is that most companies offering skills development solutions compete for their share of the skills development market rather than finding ways to work together. These organizations can only support a portion of what a job seeker requires to be successful and each job seeker's journey to employment is unique with their own personal and professional barriers. The scale of resources needed to support the individual needs of millions of job seekers is incredibly difficult to achieve alone, simply because of the number of differences from one person to the next. Skills Council of Canada's Ontario-funded project Breaking Down Barriers, Skills to Employment Collaborative Support Ecosystem is working to solve this exact problem through collaboration and partnerships with industry experts.

A global leader in employment-related skills testing, eSkill Corporation brings its fully customizable pre-employment testing and skills assessment solution to the Skills Council of Canada's Collaborative Support Ecosystem. This partnership allows employers to understand the strengths of candidates entering their organization and allows individual job seekers an opportunity to evaluate their job readiness. Having access to this data is imperative as it ensures employers and employees are aligned and compatible.

eSkill works with some of the world's best-known organizations including Coca-Cola, FedEx, LG, PepsiCo, Albert Health Services, US federal Reserve, Randstad, and more. Their assessments also support several industries including but not limited to banking, construction, engineering, government, healthcare, hospitality, information technology, law enforcement, manufacturing, Industrial, retail, transportation, and logistics. "We are in the fourth industrial revolution and there has never been a greater need to upskill and reskill the Canadian workforce," said Chance Shilling, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances at eSkill. "eSkill is proud to support the Skills Council of Canada's mission of providing impactful skills development services to all Canadians."

Skills Council of Canada continues to focus on bringing the strengths of many into one collaborative environment to offer comprehensive skills development to employment solutions for Canadians in the workforce. "We value a collaborative approach to skills development and employment solutions because the landscape is as diverse and unique as the people of Canada. Partnering with organizations such as eSkill allows us to offer the best solutions, and do our part in building a strong, capable, and resilient economy of the future. We are thrilled to be working with eSkill Corporation to achieve this vision." said Kate O'Neil, Vice President of Partnerships for Skills Council of Canada.
