Phoenix, Arizona – In conjunction with the firm’s recent Supreme Court approval under Arizona’s Alternative Business Structure program, Law Bear Injury Lawyers announced that Sean Schmitt has been appointed president. Schmitt brings more than 25 years of experience in legal operations, technology implementation, marketing, and law firm management to the leadership role as the Phoenix-based personal injury law firm launches its Arizona practice.

As president, Schmitt will oversee the firm’s day-to-day operations, strategic growth initiatives, technology systems, and client service standards. He will also play a key role, in cooperation with the firm’s compliance attorney, to ensure Arizona’s Alternative Business Structure (ABS) regulations are met. These rules permit qualified law firms to operate under nontraditional ownership structures while remaining under the oversight of the Arizona Supreme Court.

Schmitt’s career has been defined by his work at the intersection of law, technology, and business operations. He holds an associate degree in paralegal studies from Houston Community College and a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Sam Houston State University. Since beginning his legal career in 1999, he has gained experience across multiple areas of legal services, including litigation support, legal technology, intake operations, marketing strategy, and law firm administration.

Before joining Law Bear, Schmitt spent years helping build and scale personal injury law firm operations, leading technology modernization efforts, intake growth initiatives, and multi-state expansion projects. His experience includes developing operational systems, implementing enterprise technology platforms, managing marketing initiatives, and building teams designed to support sustainable firm growth.

Schmitt also played a significant role in Law Bear’s development prior to its launch. He helped guide the firm through Arizona’s Alternative Business Structure approval process, working alongside compliance professionals and legal counsel to navigate the regulatory framework governing ABS entities. He also helped establish the firm’s operational infrastructure, technology systems, vendor relationships, and Arizona headquarters.
