The first of OrderlyMeds’ webinars will focus on what patients can expect within the first 90 days of beginning GLP-1 medications. Dr. Brian Spears, board-certified general surgeon and Chief Medical Officer at OrderlyMeds, will host this 60-minute webinar, going over topics such as how GLP-1 medications work on the body, normal and abnormal side effects individuals may see during the initial three-month period, and how to manage these side effects. He will also highlight the importance of nutrition, as well as specific lifestyle adjustments that can help patients get the most out of their treatment.
Various resources available to customers will also be covered during the event, ensuring patients are aware of tools that can help with meal plans, exercise, mental health, and more.
The second webinar is part of a new series being offered by OrderlyMeds, and it will focus on the experiences of customers who have successfully lost weight through GLP-1 therapy. These webinars will feature guided conversations led by clinical psychologist Dr. Katie Rickel, who will invite two guests to share their motivation, the surprises and setbacks they encountered during their treatment, and helpful strategies they employed to maintain their progress. The final 10 to 15 minutes of the event will be reserved for a live Q&A session, where attendees can ask both Dr. Rickel and her guests questions via chat.
Although live attendance is encouraged, it is not required, as the webinars will be recorded and added to OrderlyMeds’ list of patient resources once the events are over. The exact date of the sessions will be announced on the company’s website.
