TutorFlow has opened the beta of TutorFlow Games. A teacher writes one sentence, and TutorFlow returns a playable browser game built around that lesson.

TutorFlow, a teaching and training platform, has opened the beta of TutorFlow Games. An educator writes one sentence describing what learners should practise, and TutorFlow generates a browser game from it, built around that description rather than selected from a template library.

TutorFlow produces an editable plan before it generates code. The plan covers the game's rules, its levels and how a round ends, and can be revised or discarded before a build is run. A build takes a few minutes and returns a complete web game.

Each version is tested before it is delivered. TutorFlow loads the game, presses its controls and checks that it starts and keeps running. A version that fails the check is rebuilt rather than published.

Further changes can be handled in plain language in a panel beside the game. Each game retains a version history, and any earlier version can be restored.

Finished games are published to the classroom they belong to and open in a browser. They require no installation and no learner account, and run without network access.

"Educators already know practice sticks better as a game, and almost none of them make one," said Jay Jang, CEO of TutorFlow. "Quiz tools hand you a template and a developer costs weeks. What was missing was a way to get a game built for the lesson in front of you, in the time you actually have."

Three example games generated during the beta are publicly playable: a lane runner for arithmetic, a Tetris variant for English vocabulary, and a word search for science terminology.
