By: WebWire

EMSL is proud to announce our Syracuse, New York lab is now accredited for asbestos analysis by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM), Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM), and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Asbestos is the name of a group of highly fibrous minerals with separable, long, and thin fibers. Asbestos fibers are strong and flexible enough to be spun and woven, therefore they are used in many industrial materials.

“The addition of PCM, PLM, and TEM testing services to our Syracuse laboratory allows EMSL to further assist local communities in identifying potential asbestos hazards,” said Joseph Frasca, Senior Vice President of Marketing at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “Asbestos can be positively identified only by a trained analyst using specialized microscopes.”

EMSL Analytical, Inc. Syracuse lab also offers asbestos testing in air, emissions, solid and hazardous waste.
