The advanced Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) detectors and software algorithms make it very sensitive and highly specific when detecting traces of narcotics for effective elimination of false positives. Smiths Detection has supplied more than 10,000 narcotics and explosives trace detectors worldwide for corrections, court security, aviation security, and force protection.
