Smiths Detection’s Multi-Mode Threat Detector Meets All TSA Portable Explosive Trace Detection Requirements

Smiths Detection’s Multi-Mode Threat Detector (MMTD) has passed stringent quality tests carried out by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for portable Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) technologies.

The hand-held MMTD now meets all portable ETD requirements identified in the TSA’s Explosive Trace Detector Functional Requirements Document.
