Smiths Medical, the global medical devices manufacturer, announced today that Stuart Morris-Hipkins has been named President, Smiths Medical North America, effective immediately. In his new position, he assumes responsibility for all Sales, Research & Development, Marketing, and Customer Service for all of Smiths-Medical product lines in the U.S. and Canada. Smiths Medical is a supplier of specialty medical devices to global markets in Vital Care, Safety and Medication Delivery, serving a broad range of healthcare providers.
The appointment marks a restructuring of the company’s operations to deliver higher levels of service to customers and more value to shareholders.
Mr. Morris-Hipkins has over 15 years of global business experience developing and executing top and bottom line growth strategies across multiple industries. He joined Smiths Group PLC in 1998 and has led a variety of strategic growth, acquisition, restructuring, continuous improvement and outsourcing projects across three continents.

Mr. Morris-Hipkins was President of Hypertronics (Smiths Interconnect), a provider of electronic interconnect solutions for the Americas, China, Russia and Israel from 2002 and joined Smiths Medical in 2006 as President of the Vital Care and Safety businesses.
In addition to being an International Associate of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants USA (CPA) and a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), UK Mr. Morris-Hipkins has an MSc degree in Atmospheric Sciences, and a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Chemistry, UK. He is based in the US in Rockland, MA.
