A new evening intensive outpatient program from Addiction Resource Center (530-625-7910) is expanding access to substance use treatment through same-day admission and live online sessions.

-- Addiction Resource Center has introduced a telehealth evening IOP that allows individuals to begin treatment as soon as they are ready, with sessions scheduled outside standard working hours to fit around daily responsibilities.

Recent data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) shows that although 48.4 million people in the United States reported a past-year substance use disorder in 2024, only about 1 in 5 received treatment. Barriers such as scheduling conflicts, limited access to providers, stigma, and concerns about employment continue to prevent many from seeking care.
In response, the center's evening program is designed to reduce these common access barriers by offering live online sessions that can be attended from home, with the program developed specifically for those who are unable to step away from work, family, or other responsibilities during the day.
“Our focus is on making treatment more accessible by meeting people where they are and providing support that fits into their daily lives,” a spokesperson said.
Sessions are held in the evening and include group therapy conducted online, along with one-on-one support from licensed clinicians. The program also incorporates ongoing accountability measures, including remote drug and alcohol testing, to help participants stay engaged throughout treatment.
The center notes that combining scheduled evening sessions with telehealth delivery allows participants to maintain consistency without needing to relocate or disrupt their daily routines, making it easier for individuals to begin and continue treatment over time.
The program is delivered by a team of licensed professionals and operates under recognized standards, with the center holding DHCS licensing, Joint Commission accreditation, and LegitScript certification. Clinical oversight is provided by experienced staff, including a medical director.
Addiction Resource Center LLC says its evening IOP is intended for individuals seeking support while continuing to work, care for family members, or manage other responsibilities, offering a practical pathway to begin recovery without delay.
One patient shared, "I have been attending ARC for 6 months and find the groups very comfortable and personable. I see growth within the group dynamics weekly. The counselors are professional and helped me personalize a recovery plan and keep me accountable for following though with my plan. I would recommend this program to anyone who is serious about recovery."
