Edna May Clemons, proud family matriarch with a career of nearly four decades in nursing, has completed her new book, "If You Would Have Asked Me!":  a gripping tale capturing the innocence of children.

In an excerpt from her book, Clemons shares, "Growing up in the farm, I could run in the grass barefoot. I was happy, but this is all I know—we all, to me anyway, were happy. We invented games and things to play with. My first doll was the ear of corn when it has silk. My doll's hair was the silkiest. I used my fingers as my comb. The summer is my favorite time, except Thanksgivings and Christmas when you had to wear shoes."
