Taking place in Tucson, Ariz. at the Miraval Resort from Sept. 14-16, the event aims to support leadership and both personal and professional growth through education and peer connection.

Now in its second year, Women in Endodontics brings together world-renowned speakers and industry experts to share experiences and ideas for practice growth, leadership within the specialty, and more. The summit will feature a diverse range of workshops, roundtable discussions, and development activities, all tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women within the specialty of endodontics. Program chairs include Sonia Chopra, DDS, Karen Potter, DDS, and Wendy Gulden, DDS.

“Last year, our first-ever Women in Endodontics summit was a huge success. Participants walked away with an expanded community of peers and friends, along with an expanded range of tools and techniques to support their professional and personal growth,” said Dr. Gulden. “We’re looking forward to this year’s event, which is sure to exceed expectations.”

Keynote speakers include Lisa May, founder of Fulle and chief impact officer of SORCE, and Dr. Shelli Boucher, a general dentist and co-founder of MindFlow Dental. May will lead a workshop titled “Change Your Mind... Create New Results,” focused on the neuroscience of change. During this workshop, participants will engage in activities designed to support their practice growth including the understanding and application of models for change based on neuroscience. Dr. Boucher’s keynote will focus on authenticity and the foundation for Gene Keys technology, including how it can support mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellbeing.

“Sonendo is committed to the specialty of endodontics. In addition to many other dedicated investments including EndoCon®, the support of our university and residents’ programs, and the AAE, Women in Endo is just one more way in which we are leading the way in support of endodontics from within the industry. We believe that our investments and approach for our doctors are supporting the advancement of practitioners and leaders,” said Michael Smith, chief commercial officer at Sonendo. “We want to thank our incredible program chairs and speakers for making the Women in Endodontics summit a valuable and unforgettable experience for all attendees.”

About Sonendo

Sonendo is a commercial-stage medical technology company focused on saving teeth from tooth decay, the most prevalent chronic disease globally. Sonendo develops and manufactures the GentleWave® System, an innovative technology platform designed to treat tooth decay by cleaning and disinfecting the microscopic spaces within teeth without the need to remove tooth structure. The system utilizes a proprietary mechanism of action, which combines procedure fluid optimization, broad-spectrum acoustic energy and advanced fluid dynamics, to debride and disinfect deep regions of the complex root canal system in a less invasive procedure that preserves tooth structure. The clinical benefits of the GentleWave System when compared to conventional methods of root canal therapy include improved clinical outcomes, such as superior cleaning that is independent of root canal complexity and tooth anatomy, high and rapid rates of healing and minimal to no post-operative pain. In addition, the GentleWave System can improve the workflow and economics of dental practices. Sonendo is also the parent company of TDO Software, the developer of widely used endodontic practice management software solutions, designed to simplify practice workflow. TDO Software integrates practice management, imaging, referral reporting and CBCT imaging, and offers built-in communication with the GentleWave System.
