Real Estate Developer John Morgan Mullen Publishes Poetry Collection in Moving Tribute to Wife
Retired real estate developer John Morgan Mullen has published his first poetry book as a touching tribute to his late wife Jill. This is the third book that Mullen has written.
After losing the love of his life to cancer, Mullen needed to find a way to cope. He had to find a release for the immense pain that was tormenting him inside. So, Mullen turned to one of his great passions. Writing.
“It started in lieu of greeting cards and expanded as a way to express my inner feelings on almost any subject,” Mullen said when asked about what led to his new poetry book.
“Poetry allows and even requires the poet to crawl inside his soul in describing and presenting his thoughts through his poems.”
As the title suggests, Mullen’s collection of poems come “Straight from the Heart”. His emotional read will take everyone through the ups and downs of his life and cover everything from love, sickness, fear, success and even failure.
Although the subject matter is personal for Mullen, he hopes his uplifting poems will help others who are grieving realize that they are never alone and that true love lasts forever.
“Straight from the Heart” is available in paperback, hardcover and eBook formats worldwide.
About the Author
John Morgan Mullen attended Michigan State University, where he married Jill his college sweetheart and earned a BA in communication arts. He was a quarterback for Michigan State University on two National Championship teams in 1965 and 1966. John has two children, Todd and Stephanie, and is a grandfather to Jake and Hailey and Brennan (deceased).
John’s new book, “Straight from the Heart,” started in lieu of greeting cards and expanded as a way to express his inner feelings. His collection talks about the ventures he and his wife Jill took and the inspirational life lessons he’s learned along the way. The words in “Straight from the Heart” will always remain dear to John’s heart as his wife lost a battle with cancer and will now have to read his touching tribute from heaven.
