Additionally, Ms. Haque serves as the General Counsel for Tony Roma's, a global restaurant franchise. As such, she oversees the company's legal and compliance operations and acts as the Board's go-to advisor on matters of strategy and corporate growth.
Ms. Haque's deep knowledge of and insight into legal compliance and hazards stem from her extensive work in a variety of fields. With a strong track record, she has represented clients in Washington, DC on issues including false advertising, personal injury, commercial contracts, franchise law, defamation, consumer finance, and trademarks. She has represented numerous clients before USCIS and assisted them in successfully filing their applications.
Before embarking on her career path, Ms. Haque attended Georgetown University for both her undergraduate and graduate studies before graduating from American University's Washington College of Law with the prestigious Cum Laude distinction. She formerly worked on immigration cases for constituents in the office of the late Senator Edward Kennedy of the United States Senate. Ms. Haque has also worked for Virginia Senator Mark Warner. Ms. Haque was one of the very handful selectees for a White House internship during Obama Administration. In that capacity, she served at the Domestic Policy Council in the Executive Office of the President.
Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Haque has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide. This year, she is being considered for IAOTP’s Empowered Woman Award and to be featured on the famous Nasdaq Billboard in Times Square. She will be honored at IAOTP's annual awards gala being held at the iconic Plaza Hotel this December. Ms. Haque was honored as one of the Outstanding Women in 2021 by Washingtonian Magazine. News and profiled in ABA Health Law Section News, Attorney-at Law Magazine, Goss Magazine and the Washington Post all on top of being one of the top lawyers in Washington, D.C., on Yelp.
In addition to being licensed in the District of Columbia and Missouri and admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia, Ms. Haque serves on the Board of the New England Leadership Council of Susan Komen Foundation. She is also an adjunct law professor at the American University Washington College of Law.
Looking back, Ms. Haque attributes her success to her perseverance, work ethic and mentors she has had along the way. For the future she hopes that her firm will expand to other areas and maybe open up her own course academy one day. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is a busy mom of two beautiful daughters and lives in the D.C. metro area with her husband, Md Ehteshamul Haque, who is a brilliant Technology-Transactions Attorney.
