“A really charismatic fellow, very resourceful, caring, and enthusiastic at the time…” this is how author Kathleen Ingfried Haskins describes her friend Lee Raymond Blanchette. The author is a recipient of her friend's many stories and experiences. Lee's stories, as told to and shared by Kathleen in the book, revolve around his early life, his love for the outdoors, ambitions, struggles with alcoholism, and relationships with the people he met along his life's journey.
Kathleen wrote “The Unyielding Passion for Life of Lee Raymond Blanchette, a Remarkable Man” to inspire young adults in dire circumstances, alcoholics, persons with substance abuse disorder, and people with handicaps. She exhorts her readers to never allow their circumstances to define them and instead rise above their adversity and take responsibility for their futures.
