Going to Austria, where German is spoken, and living in different refugee camps, where the food is substandard and insufficient, was hard to endure. The author cited in this book his experience at age 19. He knows that it would be impossible to go back to life as it was before. In this book, the readers will see why that was the case. Everyone knows that no one wants to go back to living under tyranny. But at the same time, it is extremely difficult to leave a stable and loving family behind and face an unfamiliar life.
This work of art was chronologically written from his life way back in Hungary up to his present life in the U.S. and the time he got back to Hungary. “Run and Pray” is a bittersweet story that is worth sharing. It will also remind us that difficult times don't last because, with our prayers and faith, we can reach a better place with peace as God has promised us to have a better future.

Tibor Ted Gyorffy was born in Hungary. In 1956, as a teenager, he and his friend from high school escaped from the Soviet (Russian) occupation and tyranny. He studied International Commerce at The University of Vienna, Austria, and Rutgers University in New Jersey. He received a B.S. Degree. Currently, he and his wife live in Versailles, Kentucky. He loves to cook Hungarian dishes. He is a member of the local Methodist Church, serving on different leadership committees. He participates in prayer groups, Bible studies, and choir. He enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
