Movicorp announced a new epic science fiction romantic comedy, Shambala Portal to Paradise, to be directed by Timothy Hines (Tomorrow's Today, 10 Days in a Madhouse, Chrome The Series". The Movicorp newsletter published, "We’re also delighted to announce today that filmmaker Timothy Hines has come aboard as director of this sci-fi/romantic comedy."

Hines credits include Tomorrow’s Today (2021), Ten Days in a Madhouse (2015), Chrome (2020) and The Wilde Girls (2023). Timothy’s films are widely available on over 60 streaming platforms worldwide.

"When Robert approached me with the script, I was intrigued by his initial description. When I read it, I was blown away and laughed out loud", beams Hines. "It is absolutely epic and it brings a new twist to the sci-fi genre like no film I've seen, yet has cleanly defined and relatable characters. The story addresses so many things the world is struggling with and ties them all together. It's deft and sublime. Though it's going to be complicated to shoot, I think the picture is going to be as much fun to shoot as it is going to be to watch."

Hines is currently in post production on his new Western comedy, The Wilde Girls, set in the 1930s about the two richest, entitled heiresses in the world being plunged into the deep wilderness with no survival skills or resources. The breathtaking comedy piece stars Lydia Pearl Pentz, Cali Scolari and Teddy Smith. The Wilde Girls is produced by Susan Goforth, Andy Hundis and Matt Silver.

"It's the best movie I ever shot and side splittingly funny. There are a few scenes yet to mount that we will have to wait until the Sag-Aftra strike ends to complete, but we captured lightening in a bottle with this one", say Hines.
