Nano Barium Titanate-Preparation, Application, Manufacturer

Barium titanate is not only an important fine chemical product, but also has become one of the indispensable main raw materials in the electronics industry. In the BaO-TiO2 system, in addition to BaTiO3, there are several compounds such as Ba2TiO4, BaTi2O5, BaTi3O7 and BaTi4O9 with different barium-titanium ratios. Among them, BaTiO3 has the greatest practical value, and its chemical name is barium metatitanate, also known as barium titanate.

1.  Physicochemical properties of nano barium titanate(nano BaTiO3)

1.1. Barium titanate is a white powder with a melting point of about 1625°C and a specific gravity of 6.0. It is soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid, but insoluble in hot dilute nitric acid, water and alkali. There are five kinds of crystal modification: hexagonal crystal form, cubic crystal form, tetragonal crystal form, trigonal crystal form and orthorhombic crystal form. The most common is tetragonal phase crystal. When BaTiO2 is subjected to a high-current electric field, a continuous polarization effect will occur below the Curie point of 120°C. Polarized barium titanate has two important properties: ferroelectricity and piezoelectricity.

1.2. The dielectric constant is very high, which makes nano barium titanate have special dielectric properties, and has become an indispensable material in the middle of high-frequency circuit components. At the same time, strong electricity is also used in media amplification, frequency modulation and storage devices.

1.3. It has good piezoelectricity. Barium titanate belongs to the perovskite type and has good piezoelectricity. It can be used in various energy conversion, sound conversion, signal conversion and oscillation, microwave and sensors based on piezoelectric equivalent circuits. pieces.

1.4. Ferroelectricity is a necessary condition for the existence of other effects. The origin of ferroelectricity comes from spontaneous polarization. For ceramics, the piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and photoelectric effects all originate from the polarization caused by spontaneous polarization, temperature or electric field.

1.5. Positive temperature coefficient effect. The PTC effect can cause a ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition in the material within a range of tens of degrees higher than the Curie temperature, and the room temperature resistivity increases sharply by several orders of magnitude. Taking advantage of this performance, heat-sensitive ceramic components prepared with BaTiO3 nano powder have been widely used in program-controlled telephone security devices, automobile engine starters, automatic degaussers for color TVs, starters for refrigerator compressors, temperature sensors, and overheat protectors, etc.

2. Application of barium titanate nano

Barium titanate is the third newly discovered strong electric body after the double salt system of potassium sodium tartrate and the strong electric body of calcium phosphate system. Because it is a new type of strong electric body that is both insoluble in water and has good heat resistance, it has great practical value, especially in semiconductor technology and insulation technology.

For example, its crystals have high dielectric constant and thermal variable parameters, and are widely used as small-volume, large-capacity microcapacitors and temperature compensation components.

It has stable electrical properties. It can be used to manufacture nonlinear components, dielectric amplifiers and electronic computer memory components (memory), etc. It also has piezoelectric properties of electromechanical conversion, and can be used as a component material for devices such as record player cartridges, groundwater detection devices, and ultrasonic generators.

In addition, it can also be used to manufacture electrostatic transformers, inverters, thermistors, photoresistors and thin-film electronic technology components.

Nano barium titanate is the basic raw material of electronic ceramic materials, known as the pillar of the electronic ceramic industry, and also one of the most widely used and most important raw materials in electronic ceramics. At present, it has been successfully used in PTC thermistors, multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), pyroelectric elements, piezoelectric ceramics, sonar, infrared radiation detection elements, crystal ceramic capacitors, electro-optic display panels, memory materials, semiconductor materials, electrostatic transformers, dielectric amplifiers, frequency converters, memories, polymer matrix composites and coatings, etc.

With the development of the electronics industry, the use of barium titanate will be more extensive.
