New Zealand transit visa holders will now be able to transit through Australia without the need for a separate visa, the Australian Government has announced.The new arrangement will come into effect from 1 October 2016 and will apply to New Zealand passport holders who have a valid New Zealand transit visa.The change will streamline transit arrangements for New Zealanders travelling to and from Australia, and is part of the Australian Government's commitment to simplifying the visa system.
The Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA) is investigating an immigration adviser who allegedly encouraged a client to overstay their visa.The IAA has received a complaint that the adviser told the client they could overstay their visa and remain in New Zealand indefinitely.This is a serious breach of immigration law and the IAA will be taking action against the adviser if the allegations are proven.We would like to remind people that it is illegal to overstay your visa in New Zealand, and anyone found doing so will be liable for deportation and may be barred from returning to the country in the future.

CANADA CITIZENS FOR NEW ZEALAND ETA
New Zealand visa requirements for Canada citizens have been announced. As of October 1st, all Canada citizens wishing to travel to New Zealand will need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA).The ETA is a quick and easy online application that takes just a few minutes to complete. It costs CAD$12 and is valid for multiple entries to New Zealand over a two-year period.Applying for an ETA is the first step in the visa application process. Once you have obtained your ETA, you can then apply for a visitor visa, which will allow you to stay in New Zealand for up to nine months.If you are planning on travelling to New Zealand, make sure to apply for your ETA well in advance of your trip.
