UltraXel, a Guangzhou-based manufacturer of wide-temperature lithium-ion batteries, participated in the 2026 Shanghai International Bicycle Fair, also known as China Cycle 2026, where the company displayed its latest battery solutions for the e-mobility sector.
According to information published on the UltraXel website, the company's wide-temperature lithium-ion cells are engineered for reliable operation across an extended thermal range, from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius. The portfolio on display covered cylindrical cell formats including the 14500, 18650, 21700, 32140 and 4695 sizes, with chemistry options spanning lithium iron phosphate (LFP), nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) and nickel cobalt aluminum (NCA).
The booth highlighted target applications across e-bikes, e-scooters, electric mobility devices, outdoor power systems and smart mobility equipment. According to the company, wide-temperature battery performance has become increasingly relevant as e-mobility products are deployed in cold winters, hot summers and other variable outdoor conditions where conventional cells can underperform.
UltraXel said the event provided an opportunity to meet with global industry partners, review emerging market trends and discuss product requirements for upcoming e-mobility platforms.
"China Cycle gave the team a direct window into how riders and manufacturers are pushing battery performance into harder conditions, and the conversations at the booth confirmed how much demand there is for cells that hold up across a wide temperature range," said CEO at UltraXel.
According to the company, UltraXel has been developing wide-temperature lithium-ion technology since 2013, when it began a collaboration with a major German automotive group to develop battery solutions for harsh automotive environments. That program has informed the current portfolio, which the company says is now applied across automotive electronics, IoT devices, industrial systems, geological instruments, defense equipment and medical devices, in addition to e-mobility.
