Advancing Clinical Excellence: 20/20 Onsite Life Sciences Clinic Managers Achieve Prestigious Certified Paraoptometric Status

20/20 Onsite, a leader in innovative mobile clinical vision solutions, proudly announces that all of its Life Sciences clinic managers are now Certified Paraoptometrics (CPOs) after a stringent examination process.

According to the most recent data from the American Optometric Association (AOA), only 3,408 CPOs maintained a current certification at the end of 2022. This significant accomplishment for 20/20 Onsite's entire team of clinic managers highlights the organization’s unwavering commitment to excellence in optometric care and its dedication to investing in the professional development of its team members.

The Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) designation is a national certification awarded to individuals who have demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and practices utilized in optometric care. Developed by a panel of respected American Optometric Association Certified Paraoptometrics and Doctors of Optometry, the CPO program encourages continued knowledge and educational growth within the field of optometric assisting.

“Obtaining CPO status is a testament to the education and competency of our team. This certification not only underscores our commitment to excellence in optometric care but also empowers our team to take on an even more proactive role in the clinic environment,” said Jessica Mays, Vice President of Life Sciences at 20/20 Onsite. “With their in-depth knowledge, our certified clinic managers are well-equipped to provide the highest level of service to our patients and play a vital role in advancing our mission of delivering exceptional eye care.”

A total of 1,450 candidates sat for a Paraoptometric Certification examination and just over half of those candidates passed in 2022. Achieving CPO status signifies that 20/20 Onsite’s Life Sciences clinic managers have demonstrated an in-depth understanding of various subject areas within optometry and have committed to upholding the highest standards of care in the eye care industry. With this certification, clinic managers are equipped to perform and interpret a wide range of tests and tasks with precision and confidence, ultimately enhancing efficiency, data accuracy, and overall quality of care.

“This certification not only benefits our team but also our sponsors and clients,” continued Mays. “With this deeper scope of practice, our certified clinic managers can further alleviate the barriers to staffing that so often delay or derail ophthalmology assessments on clinical trials.”
